MUT’s 2nd Annual Food Festival – A Celebration of Culture & Cuisine!

The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Murang’a University of Technology (MUT) is excited to be hosting the 2nd Annual Food Festival this second semester of 2024/2025.

As part of the festival, this year’s theme is “Kenyan Cultural Foods Immersion,” where students, staff, and visitors will have an opportunity to taste and enjoy the very rich and diverse flavors of Kenya’s culinary heritage.

The event will feature:

Traditional Kenyan Dishes – Savor a variety of exquisite cuisines representing different communities across Kenya.
Cultural Performances & Dance – Enjoy captivating music, dance, and performances celebrating Kenya’s diverse traditions.
Showcasing Culinary Talent – Final-year students will display their expertise in food preparation, presentation, and innovation.
A Cause for Good – Proceeds from the festival will support the Murang’a University Endowment Fund, which provides financial aid to underprivileged students.

The hustle and bustle of this picaresque event will take center stage at the Main Campus of the Murang’a University, making it into a melting pot of flavors, culture, and entertainment. If you are a foodie, culturally inclined, or just looking for an entertaining way to spend a day, this festival is not to be missed!
