CPA. Moffat is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and a Finance Officer with strong financial and accounting experience in accounting principles, budgeting, book keeping, financial accounting and management, and the ability to effectively present financial information to all levels verbally and in written reports.
He is dynamic, creative, responsible, and results-oriented with a great ability to interact effectively, organize, motivate, support, and offer strong leadership to a team. He is also a good negotiator and can work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizations from the public, private and civil society sectors.
He also has in-depth of analytical skills acquired through vast experience in accounting. He is a strong believer that the best way to help developing countries to change is to develop and implement policies that target prudent and efficient public financial management.
The Finance Department at Murang’a University of Technology provides central financial services essential to supporting the students, schools and University, as well as external stakeholders. Our primary functions include the offices of Budget and Budgetary Control, Student Finance, Creditors, Debtors, Payroll, Personal Claims, Payroll and Cash.
We are a cohesive team, obligated to serve our clients. Through our vast expertise, leadership in the management of the resources of the University, and commitment to client service, we train to build up a basis of operational excellence and compliance, and to enable the University to carry out its mission and goals.
